What's Your Cause?

There are the causes we have that are close to our hearts. For me, it is The East Bay Food Pantry. It is in my town, it feeds people, and I love to feed people.

I am also humble enough to know that my beauty business is a privilege that I get to call my work and I also know that getting a facial could also be some serious groceries for many.

I like to think that what I do matters, not only for the outside stuff we get to call vanity, but more for the inside stuff we call character, moral compass. My business helps support my causes and this makes me proud.

My goal is always to keep my monetary donations to important charities as close to my own community as possible. This is why I love East Bay Food Pantry and keeping my service donations to local schools and community based groups.

This all being said, when I have an opportunity to combine travel with a fundraiser to a place that has been on my bucket list for a good portion of my life, I must take off my  keep it local hat and dive into this wild adventure.

What is this wild adventure? RIDE FOR THE LIVING. A group that joins forces with hundreds of other like minded adventurers to visit Krakow, Poland, to experience Auschwitz, meet Holocaust survivors and then after this painful experience, get on a bike together and ride to live right out of there.

This sort of trip may not be everyone's cup of tea. But I have learned about the KRAKOW JCC (Jewish Community Center) and the work they do for not only the Polish Jewish Community, but for Ukrainian Refugees as well.

The KRAKOW JCC has supported over 450,000 Ukrainians since Russia’s invasion.

When I consider the rise of global antisemitism, the reminder that the Holocaust was only 80 years ago, the notion that a Jewish Community Center could not only be built but thrive is worthy of my fundraising and a trip of a lifetime.

If this grabs your interest and you would like to make a donation, you can do so here. If not, please know that when you choose to do business with my business, a part of your purchases always goes to the EAST BAY FOOD PANTRY. Local or Global, I love that I get to run a business that gets to help others along the way.
