Private Sauna Experiences

Cold swims in the Atlantic on a winter day, Hot Saunas on the beach. That is what I did last year for my 60th birthday with some brave chicks.

YOU NEVER FORGET YOUR FIRST

The first time I ever had a cold hot experience like that was way back in my twenties, newly married, my now former husband and I headed to the AVEDA Spa in Osceola Wisconsin on the ST. CROIX river in February. It was really cold. 

The sauna was on the ground floor sort of cave like, and after heating up, butt naked you ran down this short corridor to the snowy outside and jumped in the snow. Then back again to the sauna filled with scents of eucalyptus. 

It was magic and I was hooked. I love saunas, but I don't love community saunas, I don't love saunas you can't lie down flat in. I don't love infrared saunas because no one can seem to answer the question of infrared saunas are safe for someone who has had breast reconstruction surgery from a double mastectomy.

IN SEARCH OF PRIVACY

I have been in search for privacy- so I can give myself a facial mask, moisturize my feet and go from hot sauna to cold room (because the space is from 1866 and who needs a cold plunge when you have a cold historical house?) 

One day while staring at a room in my spa that has been many things, but never quite figured out what it wanted to be, I realized a TRADITIONAL FINNISH SAUNA would work beautifully. One requirement was I had to be able to lie flat and within two weeks, THE PRIVATE SAUNA ROOM was born.

Leave your phones at the door in lock down, we will begin offering 3 unique experiences. 

15 MINUTE IN AND OUT scheduled with one of our treatments 

30 MINUTE PRIVATE SAUNA to encourage some self care, and an attempt to linger. 

60 MINUTE PRIVATE SAUNA for some serious lingering

In all of these treatments, you will go back and forth from sauna to room all in a private space. Music, comfortable seating, feet up, lots of products to play with, cold and warm towels. These will also become part of packages so you can spend time longer at Alayne White. YUM.
