The one major way to continue to support us and small business in general is to make the extra effort to shop with small business; we are so thankful that we get to say, 26 years later, we are still standing.

We cannot compete with Amazon’s deep discounts or the very companies we align ourselves with such as Glo and Dermalogica and all of the other companies that vie for your dollars and attention.

It is financially impossible to match 25-30% discounts. We would be out of business. However those discounts that lure you into shopping with them instead of small business creates a conundrum as we cannot sustain our business if people don’t shop with us.

This is why I personally pack and ship orders all over the country with lots of fun loving swag and extra feel good items that helps you feel like you just came in for a treatment on those times you can’t make it in here to receive the love we love to give.

As tempting as they are, those PRIME DAYS you are seeing in your email create empty storefronts in otherwise vibrant small towns.

When you type alaynewhite.com, your small protest that says I want small businesses to keep the lights on.

I know that the discounts we give when you are a customer here are not the 25% and even if you shop just this once, we lose a cycle or 2 or 3 of you when you are likely stocking up with our recommendations.

I understand the temptation and I wanted to use this blog today to send out a little reminder that if you can avoid refilling with those companies and instead shop with the small businesses you have enjoyed, you are directly responsible in making the small different that keeps us in business.
