Makeup Doesn't Have to Be Confusing As We Age

After just completing my 125th or so GROWN UP MAKEUP LESSON, I have heard a lot in the many conversations I have had the privilege of having with so many aging chicks. The average age of a lesson client is between 48-80, a pretty broad swath, but the general consensus has been "WTF do I do?"

I get it. Social media has done a number on the "shoulds" of makeup wearing and my clients can't be the only ones who are completely confused.

Should I contour, highlight, wear liquid eyeliner, lip pencils, foundation, powder, eye liner?

Wow. I am here to simplify this for you in my Grown Up Makeup Lessons that I offer for individuals, for two friends ( a great day out), a group of 4 ( a great excuse to get together)  or even as a speaker at a conference.

Besides the mass confusion about what to use these days because of our ever changing skin and faces, and add to the mix, hair color too, what you have been doing for all your years just may need a tweak or two.

I have found a weak skin care routine is more often the culprit rather than a whole new makeup routine. If your skin is good - then your makeup doesn't have to work so hard. But at your lesson, we cover everything and more in honest and thoughtful conversation.

All this being said, as I age at a rate that astounds me, I am leaning into what has always been my approach anyway, the "good enough" camp of beauty. Some days I don't want a stitch of makeup, other days I love a full application, playing dress up with an actual dress and adding a bright lipstick can go so far in the feeling better department. I don't need a reason for dress up these days, other than I just like to. This is freedom.

Schedule a lesson today with me. If you want to coordinate a group or have me speak at one of your events, don't hesitate to contact me. If you don't see an appointment that fits your schedule, just text or email me directly.

This is my business and I love it more today that I think ever, (and I have mostly always loved my business).
